Diagnosing Instruments

LC-MATE™ and C-MIRACLE™ are diagnosing instruments for instant detecting defective capacitors and inductors right in a circuit. Their operation is based on the new measuring method and technology (patent pending), developed by the author of this release.

Roughly 60-70% of all malfunctions in electronics units are caused by defective capacitors and inductors. Their conventional troubleshooting requires removing a part from the unit with next testing by means of special instruments and placing the part back if proved good. This process requires continuous soldering - the harmful process. Taking into consideration the large number of parts (hundreds) to be tested, one can imagine how time consuming and harmful this is.

Recently, new instruments to check capacitors in circuit came to the market. These are Capacitor Wizard, Tenma ESR Meter and similar. All of them have two measuring electrodes to be connected to terminals of capacitor. What they read is ESR - Equivalent Serial Resistance, the quantity that has to be multiply by capacitance of the capacitor being tested to bring the information about the quality of the capacitor. So, the reading is ambiguous and inconvenient because of necessity to know the capacitance of tested capacitor. Beside that, the measurement with two electrodes is baffled by inconveniency to attach them to terminals of capacitor, which frequently have a difficult access. This doesn't allow using those meters for really convenient express-diagnosis. Developed by the author new measuring technology allows detecting defective capacitors right in circuit just with one easy touch. When compared to in-circuit meters on the market, the new one makes this as much as faster than Capacitor Wizard and others not to say about the convenience. Same can be said about detecting defective inductors in circuit.

Approbation of C-MIRACLE and LC-MATE was done in electronic repair company in New York. The company has acquired TENMA ESR METER to detect defective capacitor in circuit. Simultaneously, the technicians of the company were offered the pilot samples of C-MIRACLE and LC-MATE. They reject using ESR METER in the favor of last two devices and their new measuring technology. The needs of the market in them can be the same as the needs in the multimeters. There are hundred thousands electronic technicians in USA alone. Each of them needs such meters.
